The following images document my mother struggling with cancer. My brief on this project was open-ended but followed closely the course of her life in the last mouth of her being with us.

The imagery I have selected helps to disclose the dramatic decline of her physical well-being, and yet her stubborn determination to remain resilient against the disease.

As a family we collectively became stronger, which held us all together in the thoughtful time of her funeral. It was my intention to document this closeness amongst us in this dramatic and intimate experience.
