These images document my mother's fight with cancer. My brief on this project was open-ended but followed closely the course of her life in the last month of her being with us.

The imagery I have selected helps to disclose the striking decline of her physical well-being and yet her defiant determination to remain resilient against the disease.

As a family we collectively became stronger, which held us all together in the thoughtful time of her funeral. It was my intention to capture this closeness amongst us in this dramatic and intimate experience.
